The Essence of Indra

Indra focuses on supporting and strengthening individual understanding of our unique role as holistic health practitioners and community leaders. We empower one another to feel confident sharing the true essence of Yoga, far beyond asana, allowing the ancient practices to become accessible for wider and more diverse circles of the collective community.

Indra focuses on Ayurveda, Trauma-Informed studies, Social Justice Responsibility, The roots of African Yoga and studies as well as the traditional 8-limbed path and how Yoga directly informs inclusion and accessibility for everyone. We are committed to more diverse representation through empowering BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled wellness community leaders through Indra’s grant and/or scholarship program. We reduce our environmental footprint by offsetting carbon credits, giving back to the communities we offer programs, and working to create necessary environmental awareness education.

Indra alumni are part of an ongoing support platform offering continued education, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities for years to come.

The coursework in this program is 300 hours and will qualify graduates to register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-300 and RYT-500 levels.

Certification

Upon completing a 300 hour program, you may choose to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-300 or RYT-500. Indra is registered with and internationally recognized through Yoga Alliance.

Who Can Attend

The course is open to anyone who has received a 200-hour teacher training certification. Individuals who have a long-standing practice of yoga and healing arts, yet have not yet attended a 200-hour program may be subject to exception. Please write to us at info@indrayogainstitute.com to request an interview with our team to review unique opportunities. This work is focused on those interested in connection, deepening their practice and being a community leader and may be beneficial to those who are not concerned about the RYT hours and certification.

Sense of Community

Our intention is to guide practitioners to a place of more compassion and understanding, allowing us to soften the divide we face as a world right now. By deepening our awareness, self understanding and inner resilience, we can enter brave space together and carry this work into wider circles of community.
