Inspired by these practices, Angela (Dharma) became a practicing Ayurvedic Health and Wellness Coach with training from the Ayurvedic Health Institute and Dancing Shiva School of Yoga and Ayurveda.
Connecting the land and outdoors with BIPOC families has become a realized vision for Angela (Dharma) as a Yoga practice. In 2017-2018 she became an Outdoor Lead and Guide in the state of Arizona. She partnered and led camping trips to Canyon Lake, Verde River and the Grand Canyon with the Sierra Club and the National organization, Outdoor Afro. With Outdoor Afro she also led a family photography class at Yosemite and a river rafting camp at the Verde River in 2018.
Angela is honored to connect our yoga community with the land and people of Peru and Portugal. Both locations are places dear to Angela’s heart with a connection of teachers, elders, and friends. It will be an honor and privilege to be a steward of the location and of ceremonies. All with a bow to develop our open-hearted connection to the Earth and the wellspring of Yoga within.
