Covid-19 Updates

We realize this is an unpredictable and challenging time; your peace of mind is our priority. We are monitoring the news of coronavirus (COVID-19) very carefully. We are and will continue to follow recommendations from the WHO and the CDC. While many individuals wish to obtain their 300-hour certification at this time, we understand the need for flexibility and additional assurances when making travel plans. Please reach out with specific questions or concerns and refer to our policies below for transfer and cancellation options as needed.

Online Trainings

If you need to transfer from an online training to an immersion training, the online tuition is 100% transferrable to another online training or in-person program up until the date the online training has begun. Upon accessing Indra’s learning portal Thinkific, online training tuition is no longer refundable and you will need to honor any payment commitments agreed upon.

In-Person Trainings and Retreats

If for any reason, Indra has to cancel an upcoming in-person program due to the pandemic, we will give as much notice as possible and allow 100% of any tuition and room and board to be transferred to another program. If for some reason you are unable to attend a course, a portion or full tuition may be refundable as defined in the list below: 

• Notice to cancel is given 90 days or less prior to the course (with Thinkific access) payments are 80% refundable. 
• Notice to cancel is given 60 days or less (with Thinkific access) payments are 50% refundable. 
• Notice to cancel is given 30 days or less (with Thinkific access), payments are 100% transferable but not refundable.
• Payment plans must be arranged within 30 days of placing a deposit to secure a space in the training and gain Thinkific access to the course materials.

Upon accessing Indra’s preliminary training materials in the Thinkific learning portal, full tuition is no longer refundable and you will need to honor any payment commitments. 

In-Person Immersion

Your space in a training will be reserved when you pay the full total or a $300 deposit, with the remainder due within 30 days. Balances not paid within 30 days may be set up on a payment plan for an additional $150. We are able to work with you to potentially waive payment plan fees upon agreement. Full payment is due prior to the start date of the program, with few exceptions, and any unpaid balance will delay approval for Yoga Alliance certification. If you start the program, you will be responsible for paying in full regardless of whether or not you finish the program.

Cancellation Policy

Indra Yoga Institute reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. In this event, you will be given a full credit towards another program with Indra Yoga Institute, valid for 18 months from the cancellation. In the event that a natural disaster, catastrophe or circumstances beyond our control causes a program to be moved or otherwise changed, Indra Yoga Institute will do everything possible to provide adequate substitutions for attendance in a future course. 

Sometimes life happens, and you need to cancel your trip or return home early. If you submit a cancellation in writing more than 90 days prior to the start date, we can refund your full tuition minus the $300 deposit and any credit card fees incurred. If notice to cancel is given 90 days or less prior to the course (with Thinkific access) payments are 80% refundable. If notice to cancel is given 60 days or less (with Thinkific access) payments are 50% refundable. If notice to cancel is given 30 days or less (with Thinkific access), payments are 100% transferable but not refundable.

No refunds will be given if you choose not to attend or leave your course early within 30 days of the training starting. Travel insurance helps protect against last-minute cancellation, trip interruption and to cover medical treatment or emergency medical evacuation during your trip. We strongly recommend you purchase trip protection in advance of your trip. Look for a CFAR (cancel for any reason) policy. Indra Yoga Institute Code of Ethics

As a student or facilitator of Indra Yoga Institute you have the right to be here, no matter your race, faith, gender, ability or orientation. You have the right to practice in an environment free of harassment. You determine if, when and how anyone touches you. You commit to holding that same safe space for your Indra family. Together we raise the sacred consciousness of the group and carry that energy back home to our own communities. Failure to uphold these commitments will result in dismissal from the training and prevent you from completing the graduation requirements.

Graduation Requirements

For 300 hour trainings, as per Yoga Alliance standards, students must complete 300 hours of coursework in order to obtain certification. Of the 300 hours, 270 hours must be Contact Hours, or hours completed in the presence of an instructor. 80 of the 270 Contact Hours are assigned to specific Educational Categories. The remaining 190 Contact Hours are distributed amongst various Educational Categories based on your training’s focus. (Exceptions are made due to COVID-19 allowing online Yoga Alliance approved certification without contact hours through September 30th, 2022).
