A native Midwesterner turned Washington state transplant, Andrea Markham lived in Okinawa, Japan with her husband and two cats for five years before returning to the states in 2021. She attended her first hot yoga class in 2011 and began teaching in 2012 to offer the hope and healing she experienced to others. With a background in higher education, specifically health education and supporting survivors of trauma, Andrea is passionate about helping people discover their strength, both physically and emotionally, as well as recognizing and being proud of their unique impact in the world.

Andrea is a 500 RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance offering classes in hatha, vinyasa, power, fusion, and yin and has additional certifications in Aerial yoga, SUP guide, SUP yoga, and offers trauma informed classes. She can also be found in her new home of southwest Illinois reviving her love for the outdoors enjoying the quiet and scenery of her backyard (while her cat climbs the fence to escape it), remembering how to ride a bike after 15 years, or camping in the local area.
